Hello! My name is Louis-Kennedy Osinachi Ilobinso, and I am originally from Nigeria.
I currently hold a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Nigeria (Unizik), where I graduated cum laude in 2005. In 2011, I furthered my academic journey at Linköping University, Sweden, earning a Master of Social Science (MSc) in Health and Society.
I chose to pursue the Master of Arts in Human Rights and Social Justice (MAHRSJ) at Thompson Rivers University because of my natural passion for helping others. For me, making a difference in people’s lives is not only meaningful but also the central purpose of my career.
We live in a world where inequalities persist and where issues of human rights and social justice are too often pushed aside. I believe strongly in addressing these gaps. The MAHRSJ program resonates deeply with my career interests and values, particularly as a compassionate caregiver with a proven record of providing effective, relational care to children and young people in both care homes and emergency settings.
My long-term goal is to contribute to a just society, with particular emphasis on advancing equitable care practices. I am committed to engaging in child and youth care that is trauma-informed, relational, and community-centered, and I believe this program is equipping me with the knowledge and skills to do so.
I warmly welcome you to my E-Portfolio, where you will learn more about my journey through the Master of Arts in Human Rights and Social Justice, my reflections, and my aspirations for advancing social justice in care work and beyond.
